This 3-day programme is aimed at those involved at every level to provide them with knowledge on the properties of flammable materials, basic hazardous area classification, and the relevant legislation and codes of practice including ATEX, DSEAR and the IEC 60079 suite of standards.

Delegates will gain a solid understanding of the safety of Ex equipment, including grouping & temperature classification, categories, equipment marking, and the different protection types. Day 3 of the course also looks at installation, inspection and maintenance of hazardous area equipment.

This course is suitable for those that require an introduction to hazardous areas or delegates that need to refresh and update their knowledge on the subject.
